Affton Precinct Police Blotter: Drunken Hit-and-Runner Caught

The following information was supplied by the Affton Precinct of the St. Louis County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Friday, June 10

In a burglary in the 4500 block of Butler Hill Road in South County, a home was entered and jewelry was taken.

At the intersection of Concord Road and Von Talge Road in Concord, a woman was struck by a vehicle while crossing the road with her friends. The driver was arrested after he allegedly left the scene of the collision. Police report that he was intoxicated.

Saturday, June 11

Jewelry was reportedly stolen more than a month ago from a locked display case at the South County Antique Mall, 13208 Tesson Ferry Rd.

A residence in the 9400 block of Brenda Avenue in Affton was entered, but nothing was found to be missing.

Sunday, June 12

Someone keyed the paint job on a car in the 5600 block of Village Royale Lane in South County.

In the 9900 block of Lacewood Lane in Affton, a home was entered, and tools and a shotgun were stolen.

A silver 2007 Nissan Sentra was reported stolen in the 8300 block of Watson Road in Affton.

Monday, June 13

In the 10200 block of Mackenzie Road, a man went to an acquaintance’s home to return some items. He was then assaulted by two men, who stole his wallet, cellphone and cash. Both men were identified and arrested. The stolen items were recovered.

A man gave his son his credit card to buy gasoline. Later that evening, the credit card came up missing and was used at several locations.

Tuesday, June 14

A purse containing credit cards and a cellphone was reported stolen from a table in the Grand Corral restaurant at 6110 Lindbergh Blvd.

A business at Southfield Center was burglarized. Sunglasses and cash were stolen.

Three women attempted to use a stolen check to purchase $600 worth of clothes from Target at 4200 Rusty Rd.

At Concord Lanes bowling alley, electronics, a cellphone and CDs were stolen from two unlocked vehicles.

Wednesday, June 15

At St. Anthony’s Medical Center, a hospital employee’s purse was stolen from an office.

A stolen red 1997 Dodge Ram pickup was recovered in the 9900 block of Arthur Lane in Concord.

Thursday, June 16

In an apartment in the 9500 block of Hyde Park Drive $1500 in cash was reported taken. The victim believes the landlord took the money.

Locks were punched on a vehicle parked in the 6600 block of Lindbergh Drive and an Xbox 360, MP3 player, iPod and a car stereo were stolen.
