Broken Vehicle Alarm Prompts Peace Disturbance Complaints in Shrewsbury

The incident was among those the Shrewsbury Police Department investigated in February and March.

Monday, Feb. 25

A Webster Groves man dropped his wallet while attending an event at American Legion Post 111 at 7300 Lansdowne Avenue. He reported the wallet stolen. His credit cards were used fraudulently at gas stations in north St. Louis County, police report. A woman was arrested in connection to the incident on Wednesday, March 6.

At 2 p.m., police issued warrants to two roommates for stealing cable services from Charter Communications, police report. They lived in an apartment in the 7700 block of Bellstone Road. The theft occurred in October 2012, police said.

Friday, March 1

Shrewsbury Police issued a peace disturbance citation to a woman after several complaints between Feb. 27 and March 1 about her vehicle's alarm. The incidents occurred in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 7600 block of Big Bend Boulevard.  After verbal warnings, the alarm remained broken, so police issued the citation. The woman later removed a vehicle fuse to deactivate the alarm, police said.
