Grand AM Crashes, Grand Prix Hits Grand AM, Police Find Natural Light Cans in Grand AM

Friday, June 21

  • At 11 a.m., the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued a warrant for the arrest of a man from O’Fallon, MO, who left the scene of an accident. The accident took place on June 2 at 2 a.m. in the 7300 block of Brunswick Avenue. There more than $2,300 worth of damage to the victim’s parked car.
  • At 9:15 p.m., police were called to the 5000 block of Hi View Drive to investigate a domestic disturbance. Police arrested and issued a citation to a Shrewsbury man after he pushed his brother following a verbal argument.

  • Police are looking for a dark blue early 1990s Chevy Malibu that struck the rear of a tractor-trailer that was hooked up to a truck and left the scene of the accident. This accident took place on June 23, at 2:35 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Shrewsbury Avenue at Carr Lane.
  •  Police were called to a domestic disturbance in the 7700 block of Kenridge Lane at 10:20 p.m. Police arrested and issued a citation to a Shrewsbury man for assaulting his wife after a verbal argument.

 Tuesday, June 25

  • Police arrested and issued a citation to a man from South St. Louis for domestic assault at 10:30 a.m. The incident took place on the parking lot of a gas station at 7250 Lansdowne Avenue on May 1 after a verbal argument. The suspect left the area prior to police being notified of the assault. Several addresses had been checked for the suspect after the incident was reported and the man was eventually arrested by police. 

Wednesday, June 26

  • At 10:10 p.m., police responded to an automobile accident on westbound Interstate 44 near Shrewsbury Avenue. A 1972 Pontiac Grand AM convertible crashed into the center median and turned on its side. A second vehicle, a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix struck the Grand AM, causing a second accident. The driver and passenger from the Grand Prix were taken to a nearby hospital.  Police discovered Natural Light beer cans inside the Grand AM. The driver of the 1972 Pontiac is being investigated for Assault 2nd/Driving While Intoxicated, pending laboratory analysis of blood drawn from him.

 Thursday, June 27

  • At 3:30 a.m., police arrested a woman from South St. Louis City for speeding 45 in a 30 MPH zone, driving on a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia and for having outstanding warrants from two other police agencies. This traffic stop took place near Murdoch Ave. and Shrewsbury Ave.
