Grounded 13-Year-Old Punches Hole in Door, Pushes Mother, Taken to Detention Center

Friday, April 26

  • A juvenile from south St. Louis City was taken into custody at 4:45 p.m. on suspicion of stealing a soda and two candy bars from Dierbergs, 7233 Watson Road. He was released to his mother and the report was forwarded to the family court.

  • Police stopped a car in the 7600 block of Watson Road at 1 a.m. for a broken taillight and discovered marijuana. Two men inside the car were from south St. Louis County were issued citations to appear in municipal court for possession of marijuana.
  • A juvenile was taken into custody and brought to the St. Louis County Family Court and transferred to the Detention Center at 4:40 p.m. due to a domestic disturbance he caused with his mother. This incident took place in the 7600 block of Ravensridge Drive. Police were called to the apartment after the 13-year-old boy would not stay in his room after he was grounded and he punched a hole in a bedroom door and pushed his mother.

Sunday, April 28

  • Police stopped a car in the 7200 block of Lansdowne Avenue at 12:15 a.m. for a broken headlight and discovered marijuana. An Affton man was issued citations to appear in municipal court for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

  • A Shrewsbury woman was arrested on suspicion of violating an order of protection at 10:30 a.m. in the 5100 block of Exeter Avenue. The suspect appeared at a home of her sister and mother and she was prohibited by the order of protection.

Wednesday, May 1

  • A Shrewsbury woman was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated at 1 a.m. in the 7700 block of Watson Road. The suspect was driving 60 MPH in a 40 MPH zone and refused to provide a breath sample. She was issued citations to appear in municipal court.

Thursday, May 2

  • Police are looking for a south St. Louis City man that got into an argument with his girlfriend on the parking lot of Phil Mart, 7250 Lansdowne Avevue at 7:30 p.m. The man hit the woman in her left eye and nose after he accused her of seeing another man. He left the area on foot, prior to police arriving on the scene.
