Lawn Chairs Can't Hide Hit and Run Driver From the Law

The owner of a Honda Civic found out the Shrewsbury Police Department was smart enough to see evidence hidden behind lawn chairs.

On June 2, the Honda owner is suspected of hitting a 2011 Chevy Equinox on the front driver side bumper and fender in the 7300 block of Brunswick Avenue. The Honda driver left the scene without providing insurance information.

Later, the Honda was parked at a neighbor’s driveway with lawn chairs placed around the front drive side bumper and fender to hide the damage of the suspect’s Honda Civic.

Police contacted the owner of the Honda and he admitted to causing the accident and not reporting it. The suspect was told he would be charged with leaving the scene of the accident once the estimated value amount of the damage to the victim’s vehicle had been determined.
