Update: Lemay Ferry Bank Robbed Again, Likely Same Perp

Century Credit Union on Lemay Ferry Road was previously robbed by the same man on July 13.

The Century Credit Union at 1540 Lemay Ferry Rd. was robbed for the second time this month on Wednesday. Police suspect the same man was responsible for both robberies.

St. Louis County Police responded to the Lemay bank robbery call at 3 p.m. Wednesday. According to media relations officer Rick Eckhard, a man had entered the bank and left a note on the counter demanding money. The man then fled the bank on foot with an undetermined amount of cash, running down an alley toward Stake 'N Shake.

No one was hurt, and no weapon was displayed.

Police described the suspect as an unshaven white male of medium build between 5-feet, 10-inches tall and 6-feet, 2-inches tall. He wore a camo ball cap, jeans and a long-sleeved, light blue collared shirt.

The same bank was in the afternoon of Wednesday, July 13. According to Officer Mike Schira of the 4th Precinct, the crimes took place at the same time, and the robber approached the same bank teller. The same note technique was also used.

Anyone with information about this incident should call the St. Louis County Police Department at 889-2341 or Crimestoppers at 866-371-TIPS.

Updated 1:02 p.m., July 28.
