Man Charged in Saturday's Bank Robbery at Affton Shop 'n Save

Roger W. Jennings has been arrested and charged with second-degree robbery of the UMB Bank inside the grocery store. An anonymous tip led to his arrest.

A 52-year-old St. Louis man has been arrested and charged for robbing the UMB Bank inside Shop 'n Save at 5780 South Lindbergh Blvd.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued warrants today on Roger W. Jennings, of the 6900 block of Alabama Ave. in St. Louis. He has been charged with second-degree robbery.

On Dec. 22, St. Louis County officers responded to the robbery call around 5 p.m., police say. Jennings presented a note demanding money before fleeing from the bank with $3,000 in cash.

An anonymous tip led to Jennings' arrest, according to police. He was identified using surveillance video footage. Jennings was charged Friday with second-degree robbery. He is being held on $35,000 bond.
