Man Charged in Machete Attack Over Guitar

Jason Williams allegedly threw a machete a woman during a dispute at his Sappington apartment.

Jason Williams, 32, of Sappington, has been arrested and charged for unlawful use of a weapon after police said he attacked a woman by throwing a machete at her.

St. Louis County police arrested Williams on Aug. 29. Police say the victim had picked up Williams from work and taken him back to his apartment in the 10700 block of Hackberry Drive. There was an argument over a guitar that had belonged to the victim’s ex-boyfriend.

The victim told police that Williams grabbed a machete and moved to attack her. She fled, and as she did so, police said he threw the machete at her, hitting the door instead.
