Man Sentenced to 20 Years for 2011 Affton Home Invasion

A man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for a 2011 home invasion in Affton after he pleaded no contest Friday to seven charges.

Alan Costello Lancaster, 30, of the 5400 block of South Broadway in St. Louis, was sentenced to 20 years each on charges of first-degree robber and first-degree assault. He also was sentenced to 15 years in prison for each count of first-degree burglary and kidnapping; and 10 years each on three counts of armed criminal action.

Each sentence will run concurrently. St. Louis Circuit Court Judge Michael T. Jamison sentenced Lancaster Friday.

St. Louis County Police said Lancaster kicked in an apartment door in the 8900 block of Provo Lane in Affton at about 9 a.m. Nov. 7, 2011. Lancaster then pointed a handgun at the resident, pistol-whipped and kicked him, causing a serious injury, according to court documents.

He stole laptop computers, a cell phone and cash, then tied the victim’s hands and feet together and put a pillowcase over his head.
