Man Stole PlayStation From South County House While Resident Was Home, Police Say

St. Louis County Police said he sold a game system the same day it was reported stolen.

A South County man faces criminal charges in connection to entering a home and stealing a PlayStation game system Feb. 20 while the resident was home.

James Nguyen, 19, of the 4100 block of Debra Court, was charged last Wednesday with first-degree burglary and misdemeanor theft.

St. Louis County Police said Nguyen sold the PlayStation the same day it was reported stolen from the the 8300 block of Kammerer Avenue in South County. Nguyen told police he entered the home through an unlocked rear door and stole the game system. A resident was home during the burglary, police said.

Bail was set at $5,000 for Nguyen.
