Police: Man Solicits Sex From Cashier, Gets Arrested Instead

Read through the lastest incident reports from the Shrewsbury Police Department.

The following information was reported by the Shrewsbury Police Department.

  • A south St. Louis man was arrested Dec. 2 for attempting to solicit sex from the female cashier of a business in the 7200 block of Mackenzie Pointe. Police said the man was a previous customer of the business and said he approached  the woman and offered to pay her $500 to have sex with him. The woman declined and called police after the man left the business. Police later arrested the man at his apartment, issuing him a citation for sexual misconduct to appear in municipal court. This incident took place on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 12:35 p.m.
  • Someone stole a wallet Nov. 19 from a vehicle parked at the loading dock of Value Village, 7435 Watson Road. A credit card from the wallet later was used at a Walgreens store in St. John. Police interviewed a suspect in the incident on Nov. 30 A credit card from the wallet was used at a Walgreens in St. John.  Police interviewed on Nov. 30 a suspect that used the card. The case is being reviewed by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney.
  • Police arrested a Jennings man for stealing a can of beer Dec. 4 at the Phil Mart gas station at 7250 Lansdowne Ave. Police had located the man on a Metro bus.  The suspect was placed him under arrest for stealing under $500 and was issued a citation to appear in municipal court.
  • A man from North County was arrested following a traffic stop Dec. 6 in the 7600 block of Kenrick Manor Dr. and cited for having stolen license plates, no proof of insurance and for having outstanding warrants for his arrest from another police agency.
