Multiple Cars Ransacked on Kenridge Lane, Police Say

Police would like to remind everyone to keep valuables at home, not in plain view in a car.

Thursday, August 1

  • Police responded to a shoplifter In progress call at Phil Mart, 7250 Lansdowne Avenue.  Police located the suspect at the Metrolink Station, 7201 Lansdowne Avenue with the energy drink that was stolen from the store. The man from House Springs was arrested and issued a citation to appear in municipal court.

Saturday, August 3

  • Police are looking for three men in a blue/grey van parked last seen parked near Hazel Avenue and Kain Drive on Saturday, August 3, at 3 a.m. A door lock was punched on a Chrysler Sebring, a black leather bag was stolen from an unlocked Chevy Tracker and a lap top was stolen from a Nissan in the 5000 block of Danbury Avenue. Police would like to remind everyone to call dispatch (314) 645-3000 if they see a suspicious person or vehicle in their neighborhood and to keep valuables inside their residences, not in plain view of their vehicles.

Sunday, August 4

  • The door lock of a 2003 Dodge Intrepid was damaged overnight in the 7500 block of Murdoch Avenue. 

Monday, August 5

  • A 2007 Dodge Caravan was reported stolen from the 7700 block of Kenridge Lane. It was last seen on Sunday, August 4, at 9:45 p.m. and a neighbor noticed it was missing the following morning at 5:30 a.m. Three other vehicles were rummaged through during the night on the same block. The van was located and recovered in the 4000 block of Cook in St. Louis City on August 6. Police would like to remind everyone not to leave keys and other valuables in vehicles.
  • Police issued citations to a Ballwin woman for speeding 74 in a 60 MPH zone on westbound Interstate 44 near Shrewsbury Avenue and possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

Tuesday, August 6 

  • Between 2 and 9 a.m. a black Jeep Cherokee with Missouri license DF9Z9F was reported stolen from a driveway in the 4100 block of Exeter Avenue.
  • At 10:15 a.m. police were notified that $79 was missing from the petty cash account of the Shrewsbury Aquatic Center. There was no forced entry into the office of the pool.  Police are continuing to investigate.
