Police Blotter: Shoplifted Eyeglasses and Stolen Backhoe

Friday, March 4

Crown Vision at 7235 Watson Rd. reported to Shrewsbury Police that six pairs of eyeglass frames were stolen from their display counter—a total value of $1,374.

A television was reported stolen from a home in a burglary in the 5000 block of Kerth Road in Concord.

Saturday, March 5

Shrewsbury Police arrested an Ellisville man on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop. The vehicle was stopped while traveling without license plates in the 7600 block of Big Bend Boulevard.

Copper piping and a water meter were reportedly stolen in December from a vacant house in the 6900 block of Richford Lane in Affton.

Several suspects were arrested in an incident of second degree assault in the 5300 block of Cherryview Lane in Concord. The victim was reportedly threatened with a knife.

A rifle was reported stolen in a burglary in the 4800 block of Heidelberg Avenue in Affton while the homeowner was in the hospital.

Monday, March 7

Shrewsbury police arrested a North County man on charges of marijuana possession and driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop on the 4100 block of Shrewsbury Avenue.

Tuesday, March 8

Shrewsbury Police are looking for a vehicle that swiped another vehicle as they both traveled eastbound on Interstate 44 at Shrewsbury Avenue.

St. Louis County Police arrested a suspect cashing a stolen check. The suspect then admitted to six times burglarizing a family member’s house in the 2700 block of Black Forest Drive in Oakville.

Wednesday, March 9

An Xbox and jewelry were stolen from a home in a burglary in the 10900 block of Edgecliff Drive in Concord.

A woman’s purse was stolen from her unlocked car in the 10500 block of Tesson Ferry while the woman went inside to pick up her children.

Thursday, March 10

A firearm was reported stolen from the trunk of a vehicle in the 7000 block of Flintstone Trail in Affton. The victim believes his son stole it.

Friday, March 11

A white, black and orange 1996 Bobcat Excavator, a small construction vehicle, was reported stolen from the 4300 block of Butler Hill Road in Concord.

Watches, cash, a cell phone, a purse and a safe were reported stolen from a home in a burglary in the 10900 block of Cedarberry Place in Green Park.
