Police Blotter: Stolen Meds and Shattered Windows

These incidents were handled by Shrewsbury police and the Affton precinct of the county police.

Friday, April 22

Shrewsbury police arrested a woman from Florissant on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on eastbound Interstate 44 near Shrewsbury Avenue.

Shrewsbury police investigated a Jeep that was stolen from the 7600 block of Lansdowne Avenue and discovered an abandoned Mazda parked at 7600 Devonshire Avenue which was reported stolen from St. Louis City. The Jeep was eventually recovered abandoned in St. Louis City, and police recovered property inside the Jeep that had been stolen in a residential burglary.

In the 11100 block of Gravois Road in Affton, a woman saw a man inside her apartment. He fled the scene with firearms and a laptop computer.

At the Target on 4250 Rusty Road in Concord, a man shoved down a woman in the parking lot and stole her purse. Officers arrested a suspect and recovered her purse. The suspect then assaulted a police officer while being interviewed about the crime.

In the 10800 block of Lackspur Drive in Affton, an onboard GPS unity, a laptop and a digital camera were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

A bicycle was stolen from an unlocked attached garage in the 7100 block of General Sherman Lane in Affton.

In a burglary in the 6900 block of Cheshire Lane in Affton, a vacant residence was entered, but nothing was apparently taken.

Saturday, April 23

In the 4700 block of Oldenburg Avenue in Affton, a suspect was arrested for allegedly pushing his step-father down the stairs and punching him. Further investigation showed that the stepfather was in possession of stolen prescription medications, and he was also arrested.

A black 2006 Ford Mustang with Missouri license plate AE0M8N was reported stolen from the Costco at 4200 Rusty Rd.

While in the emergency room at St. Anthony’s Medical Center, a suspect allegedly stole narcotic medication and was arrested.

Sunday, April 24

A television, laptop, camera, desktop computer, cellphone and DVDs were stolen from a house in a burglary in the 10200 block of Jeffery David Court in Affton.

Two vehicles had their windows shattered in the 5100 block of Cedar Chase Drive in Concord. A DVD player, a purse containing credit cards and DVRs were stolen.

A gray, 2004 Acura TL was reported stolen in the 9500 block of Radio Drive in Affton.

The window of at 8126 Gravois was shattered, and cash was stolen from within.

Monday, April 25

Shrewsbury police investigated a delayed report of a sexual assault. The alleged incident took place at an apartment in the 7600 block of Watson Road on Feb. 27. Both people involved in the incident work together at a nursing home.

In the 10000 block of Echoridge Lane in St. George, a woman left a holstered firearm in the back seat of her unlocked car. She returned to find the weapon had been stolen.

Speakers, speaker box and an amplifier were stolen from a vehicle parked at the Lutheran High School South parking lot at 9515 Tesson Ferry Road.

At the YMCA at 12736 Southfork Road in Sappington, a locked locker was broken into and a credit card was stolen from within. The card was then used multiple times at area stores.

In the 10100 block of Gravois Road in Affton, a window was smashed on a parked vehicle and prescription medication, a purse, an iPad and a GPS unit were stolen from within.

Shrewsbury police investigated an incident of third-degree domestic assault in the 7100 block of Weil Avenue. An intoxicated man was arrested. After a verbal argument with his girlfriend, he allegedly placed her in a headlock, hurting her neck.

 Tuesday, April 26

Shrewsbury police were called to investigate a suspicious person and possible drug overdose at , 7202 Weil Ave. Police recovered drugs and drug paraphernalia and the man was transported to an area hospital. Formal charges are pending an analysis by the crime laboratory of the items found by police.

In the 10800 block of Lackspur Drive in Affton, a green and white 1994 Yamaha Serow dirt bike was reported stolen.

A truck bed cover was reported stolen in the 9200 block of Niles Place in Affton.

Miscellaneous construction tools valued at $900 were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 9200 block of Fort Sumter Lane in Sappington.

Two sets of golf clubs were stolen from an open garage in the 10200 block of Concord Valley Court in Affton.
