Police: Man Took Jewelry and Gun, Left Fingerprints

St. Louis County Police said they matched prints at the scene with the defendant's prints.

An Affton man is accused of a burglary after police said it matched fingerprints left in a home with his prints.

Ryan Farris, 19, of the 7800 block of Elton Street in Affton, was charged with first-degree burglary, felony stealing and stealing a firearm.

St. Louis County Police said Farris broke into a home between 8:10 a.m. and 12:05 p.m. Sept. 7 in the 9800 block of Coventry Lane in Affton. He stole two rings, a two watches, a lock  box, four savings bonds and a 9 mm pistol. The items were valued at more than $1,200.

Police said Farris’ fingerprints were found in an area where the items were stolen.

Farris is being held in St. Louis County jail in lieu of a $40,000 bond.
