Police Reports: Pit Bull Attack, Copper & iPhone Stolen

The Shrewsbury Police Department recorded the following incidents and investigations in their police blotter.

August 18

An iPhone was stolen from the Shrewsbury Aquatic Center between 2 and 2:30 p.m. The victim left her phone unattended on a chair near the pool when it disappeared. Two juvenile subjects were seen in the area, but no suspects were identified. The investigation is on-going.

A pit bull attacked another dog in the 4100 block of Shrewsbury Avenue around 9:50 p.m. The pit bull’s owner was identified and issued summonses to appear in Shrewsbury Municipal Court for the dog being off the leash, property damage and owning a prohibited animal.

Copper wire was stolen from a construction site in the 5200 block of Glennon Avenue. The theft took place at some point over the last two months, and there was no forced entry onto the premises. Police are interviewing employees.
