UPDATE: Police on Search After Regions Bank Robbery

The search immediately after was centered around the nearby Gardenville Masonic Temple.

St. Louis County Police are searching for the man who robbed the , 9100 Gravois Road in Affton, Friday afternoon.

According to police the suspect is a white man, thin and and 5 feet 8 inches tall, who wore a dark baseball cap, a tan jacket, dirty white gloves and a paisley bandana over his face.

The suspect left on foot east on Gravois toward River Des Peres. No weapon was dispayed, and no one was injured.

The robbery was reported at 3:04 p.m. at the , 9100 Gravois Road.

The intial search seemed to be centered on the Gardenville Masonic Temple, just a few blocks east from the bank. More than dozen St. Louis County police cars with lights flashing converged near the intersection of Heege and Gravois road to search for the suspect, partially blocking traffic.

KMOX radio reported that police believed they had the suspect surrounded, but in the end they didn't find him.

Police deployed a helicopter and K-9 units to help with the search for the suspect and stolen money. A unit from the St. Louis city police was also on the scene assisting with the search.
