Woman Arrested For Loitering at Mackenzie Pointe Bus Stop, Police Say

The shopping center management asked police to cite the woman for trespassing.

Shrewsbury Police supplied the following information.

On Tuesday, June 11, Shrewsbury Police received a complaint from the owner of the Mackenzie Pointe shopping Center about a woman loitering at the bus stop for extended periods of time without getting on a Metro Bus. 

The police reported that the woman does not shop at any of the stores at the shopping center. The Mackenzie Pointe management asked that the woman be told that she would be cited for trespassing if she returned to the shopping center to loiter.

Police found the woman and tried to issue a verbal warning about the trespass notice from the managers of the plaza. The woman would not identify herself and refused to cooperate with police. 

Police arrested the woman when she failed to comply with a police officer’s demand for her identification pursuant to a trespass notice. The south St. Louis City woman was issued a verbal warning about the trespass violation.
