Shrewsbury Police: 3 Drug Charges Last Week

A black Chevy Cavalier driving erratically was a tip-off that led to one of the stops.

Friday, April 19

  • Police received a complaint about an erratic driver of a black Chevy Cavalier. Police located the vehicle and arrested two men and a woman from Affton for possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on eastbound Interstate 44 near Shrewsbury Avenue at 10:35 p.m. Formal charges are pending and analysis of the seized marijuana and a review of the report by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

  • A man from north St. Louis County was acting suspiciously at Phil Mart, 7250 Lansdowne Avenue at 3:20 p.m. and he was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, marijuana and methamphetamine. He had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for drug paraphernalia as well.

Wednesday, April 24

  • Police arrested a Shrewsbury man after a domestic disturbance at his apartment at 9XX Lordshill Lane at 1130 a.m. The man and his girlfriend got into an argument and he left the area prior to police arrival. Officers located him and discovered he had marijuana and a pipe. He was issued citations to appear in municipal court.
  • A man from south St. Louis City was arrested for a parole violation related to illegal drugs near Chippewa Street and S. Kingshighway Boulevard. Shrewsbury Police had been looking for him as well. He was wanted for questioning by detectives, due to a domestic assault charge on April 24 at 1 p.m. The original incident took place in December 2012 at 75XX Triwoods Drive. The suspect pushed his girlfriend into a doorway after he saw her with another man. The suspect was issued a citation to appear in municipal court.
