Shrewsbury Police Blotter: Brass Knuckles

Sunday, December 18

Shrewsbury police arrested a man from South St. Louis City on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana after a traffic stop was initiated for not having a front license plate on his vehicle. The man was issued citations to appear in municipal court.

At 10 p.m. police responded to a verbal argument between a mother and her adult son in the 7600 block of Big Bend Boulevard and arrested an intoxicated Shrewsbury man for concealing a weapon (brass knuckles). He was issued a citation to appear in municipal court.

Police are looking for a red Pontiac car that left the scene of a minor accident in the 7500 block of Watson Road. The red Pontiac struck a Toyota and failed to exchange insurance information. Police searched the area, but could not locate the Pontiac.

Wednesday, December 21

A man from Winchester was arrested by Shrewsbury police at his place of employment in St. Louis City after he caused a disturbance at his estranged girlfriend’s apartment in the 7800 block of Weil Ave. and crashing her car into a fence in the 7700 block of Weil Ave. The suspect was charged with domestic assault and leaving the scene of the accident.
