Police arrested a woman from Affton for property damage after she sat on a bathroom sink and broke it at , 7250 Lansdowne Ave. The incident took place at 3:30 a.m. The woman left the gas station without exchanging her contact information to the cashier. Police were able to trace a license plate to an acquaintance of the suspect. The suspect was issued a citation to appear in municipal court.
At approximately 10:43 a.m., officers discovered an open rear gate at Carr Lane Manufacturing, 4200 Carr Lane Ct. Further investigation revealed that the chain to the gate had been cut and two 150-pound cylinders of chemicals had been stolen from the rear of the business. The tanks had been stored in a locked, caged area within the fenced area. The padlock from the cage was cut and the handle pried. Surveillance video from the rear of the building showed two white males in a silver Ford F250 (tonneau soft cover on the bed; “4X4” decal on rear left side of the bed; pass-through window on rear window; chrome or high polished rims) entered the area at approximately 9:52 a.m. that same morning. The passenger (who was wearing jeans and a dark colored hoodie with a “Willie G” skull on the back, gloves, sunglasses, and a white bandana over his nose and mouth) cut the chain on the gate. The driver (heavier set male with dark pants, dark shirt, and a dark ball cap, and was putting gloves on as he got out of the truck) got out to help steal the containers.
