Shrewsbury Police Blotter: Dog Bite

The following information was supplied by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Saturday, May 28

Shrewsbury police investigated a dog at 10 a.m. in the 7300 block of Devonshire Avenue. A man was out for a walk when two dogs jumped over a fence, and one of the dogs bit the man on the left leg. St. Louis County Animal Control was notified, and one of their officers took the dog that bit the man to their shelter for observation. The owner of the dogs was issued citations to appear in municipal court.

In the 7100 block of Weil Avenue, Shrewsbury police arrested a north St. Louis County man after a pedestrian check on charges of possession of marijuana and on outstanding warrants for his arrest from two other police agencies.

At 5:45 p.m., Shrewsbury police arrested a Belleville, IL man and woman on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia near Big Bend Boulevard and Laclede Station Road after a traffic stop for an expired plate.

A Rock Hill resident was arrested at 2:30 a.m. on charges of property damage after he kicked and broke the window of a 1998 Acura that was parked in the 7500 block of Weil Avenue. The man was upset because he discovered his former girlfriend with another man.

Wednesday, June 1

At 11 a.m. Shrewsbury police were called to investigate two counterfeit checks which were passed at , 7435 Watson Rd. on May 7. There was more than $1,500 in fraud involving the two checks in this ongoing investigation.
