Shrewsbury Police Blotter: Dog Bites One-Year-Old

Sunday, December 11

A one-year-old boy was bitten by a dog while visiting a home in the 7200 block of Murdoch Avenue. The child was running around the house when he fell on top of the dog on the kitchen floor. The dog bit the child on the face and the wound required 12 staples to close. The dog’s immunization records were up to date.

Shrewsbury police arrested a Webster Groves man on charges of driving while intoxicated after the vehicle he was driving struck a tree in the 7700 block of Kenrick Manor Drive at 1 a.m. The suspect’s breath sample was measured at .241%, and he was issued a citation to appear in municipal court.
