Shrewsbury Police Blotter: Heroin Caught in Traffic Stop

The following information was supplied by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Saturday, Feb. 11

Shrewsbury police arrested a man from Villa Ridge for possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop for failing to properly register a Honda Civic on westbound Interstate 44 near Shrewsbury Avenue.

A ring was reported missing from the room of a patient at Mary Queen & Mother Center located at 7601 Watson Rd.

Police arrested a man from South St. Louis City for stealing clothes and shoes from Value Village, 7435 Watson Rd. The man tried to run from police and he was charged with resisting arrest as well.

Police were called to Waterway, 7201 Watson Rd. due to a gold colored Mercury Grand Marquis that left the area without paying for $54.51 worth of gas. The vehicle had a stolen license plate and was last scene heading east on Watson Rd.

Tuesday, Feb. 14

At 12:35 a.m. police issued citations to a Hazelwood resident for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop from an improper turn at Ravensridge Drive and Laclede Station Road.

Shrewsbury police are looking for the driver of a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am that left the scene of an accident on Interstate 44 and Shrewsbury Avenue at 5 p.m. A 1998 Nissan Maxima was towed from the scene, and police are seeking a woman from South St. Louis City that left the accident on foot prior to police arriving on the scene.

Wednesday, Feb. 15

A resident of the 7400 block of Triwoods Drive reported her flat screen Samsung television stolen on Wednesday. The incident took place sometime Sunday, Feb 12, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 8:45 p.m. Police are seeking a relative of the victim and an acquaintance of the relative for questioning about this incident.

Thursday, Feb. 16

Police arrested a Lake St. Louis woman for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop in the 7700 block of Big Bend Boulevard.
