Shrewsbury Police Blotter: Kicked Due to Bed Time

The following information was supplied by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Friday, Feb. 17

A book bag with a textbook and a checkbook was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle. The theft took place on the parking lot of Dierbergs, 7233 Watson Rd. on Thursday, Feb. 16. The backpack was recovered in a park in Webster Groves two days later.

Police were dispatched to Dierberg’s, 7233 Watson Rd., in reference to a shoplifter that was in custody. An Affton woman was arrested for stealing $67.61 worth of merchandise and she was issued a citation to appear in municipal court.

Police were called to a family disturbance between a mother and her 12 year old son in the 7600 block of Ravensrige Drive. The juvenile refused to go to bed and kicked his mother in the side after a verbal argument. The case was referred to juvenile authorities.
