Shrewsbury Police Blotter: Pair of License Plate Thefts

The following information was supplied by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Saturday, October 22

At 7 a.m., Shrewsbury police were called to the 7500 block of Suffolk Avenue regarding a verbal argument between two intoxicated college roommates over a credit card bill. The verbal argument became physical, so both men were arrested for third degree assault and issued citations to appear in municipal court. One of the men had an outstanding traffic warrant from another police agency.

Police investigated the theft of license plates from a Chrysler Sebring from the 5100 block of Deville Avenue. The theft took place sometime overnight.

Tuesday, October 25

Police investigated another theft of license plates from a Honda Accord on the 7200 block of Murdoch Avenue. This theft also took place sometime overnight.

Wednesday, October 26

At 12:30 a.m. Shrewsbury police stopped a suspicious vehicle occupied by three subjects in the 7300 block of Sutherland Avenue. One man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Police arrested a woman after a traffic stop on at 8:45 a.m. The woman was stopped for traffic violations and it was determined that she had outstanding warrants in three other jurisdictions. She received summonses for the traffic charges.

Police encountered a suspicious person at a business in the 7200 block of Lansdowne. The subject was arrested for six outstanding warrants from St. Louis City.
