Shrewsbury Police Blotter: Three Drug Busts in One Week

The following information was supplied by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Thursday, Mar. 22

At 11:40 p.m. Shrewsbury police arrested an Affton resident on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop in the 7200 block of Murdoch Avenue. The vehicle had a front headlight that was not working properly.

At 1:20 a.m. police arrested a man from Caseyville, IL on charges of possession of methamphetamine after an improper lane use traffic stop in the 7700 block of Murdoch Avenue. The man was also charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. 

A woman from Affton reported her wallet, cash and credit and debit cards missing. The victim last saw her wallet at 1:20 p.m. after paying for groceries at , 7233 Watson Rd.

Sunday, Mar. 25

At 10:30 p.m. police responded to the 7100 block of Weil Avenue to look for a man that allegedly assaulted his girlfriend and a neighbor. Police say he broke a window and a screen in the apartment complex during this episode. The man left the area prior to police arriving on the scene. On Monday, March 26, the suspect turned himself into police. He was arrested and issued citations on charges third degree domestic assault, third degree assault and two counts of property damage.

Tuesday, Mar. 27

On Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 12:42 AM police arrested an Affton resident for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop in the 7200 block of Watson Rd. for a brake light not working properly.
