Police: Shoe Thieves on the Loose, Woman Arrested for Hydrocodone

October 7

Two apartment complex signs were reported damaged at the intersection of Charing Square Lane and Chatwell Drive. Police searched the area but could not locate any suspects or witnesses.

The front door to a home in the 7700 block of Devonshire Ave. was reported to be damaged. Nothing was reported missing from the home, and entry was not gained into the home. The victim believed the damaged might have been caused by a family member due to a recent dispute.

Police are looking for a dark red pick-up truck that two white males drove west on Watson Road at 8:50 p.m. from the Shoe Carnival at 7319 Watson Road. Police believe the two suspects are involved in stealing four pairs of Nike shoes valued at $271.92 and also in a theft at the Shoe Carnival on Telegraph Road in South St. Louis County.

October 11

A Hillsboro woman was arrested on suspicion of fraudulently attempting to obtain Hydrocodone at the pharmacy of Dierbergs at 7233 Watson Road. The woman had marijuana and drug paraphernalia in her purse at the time of her arrest. Formal charges are pending a review by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
