Affton Fire District: Smoke in the Kitchen at Cafe Affton
The Affton Fire Protection District said there was some smoke behind an ice cooler.
Affton Fire Protection District responded Monday morning to a small fire at Cafe Affton. The fire trucks arrived on scene around 9:45 a.m.
Fire Chief Jim Fritz said there was some smoke behind an ice cooler in the restaurant's kitchen.
There was not a fire, said assistant chief Ben Waser. The fire protection district is leaving two pumper trucks on the scene, and engineers are examining the wiring behing the restaurant's coolers.
