These Two Men Are Officers of the Year for St. Louis County Police

They were honored during an annual banquet hosted by the Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association.

Two St. Louis County Police Department officers who work in South County were honored during a banquet on Sunday, March 10.

Officer Dustin Blake, from the third precinct in Affton, and Officer Brett Steinhoff, from the fourth precinct in Mehlville and Oakville, were named Officers of the Year during the banquet.

They were given awards and more than $300 in gift certificates from local restaurants and Wehrenberg Theatres

The banquet, which drew more than 200 people, was hosted by the Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association.

Kathleen Luepke and Jean Larkin co-chaired a banquet committee, which also included Karen Hernandez, Linda Juelfs, Linda Kohnen, Janis McCracken and Bob Boyer.

Other attendees included Chief Tim Fitch; Lt. Col. Kenneth Cox; Lt. Col. Terry Roberds; County Executive Charles Dooley; Reverend William Simmons, chaplain for the third precinct; John Hancock, the master of ceremonies; State Senator Scott Sifton; and State Rep. Marsha Haefner.
