Traffic Stops Lead to Drug Citations in Shrewsbury

See what the Shrewsbury Police Department has investigated so far this month.

Shrewsbury Police responded to the following incidents at the beginning of February, according to the weekly police blotter:

Tuesday, Feb. 5

At 12:20 a.m., a Florissant woman was issued citations for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after police stopped her on Laclede Station Road near Big Bend Boulevard for speeding in a 35 MPH zone.

A man reported the driver side of 2005 Volvo was keyed. The victim believes it happened after a disagreement about a parking spot outside the U.S. Post Office, police report. 

Wednesday, Feb. 6

Around 12:30 a.m., a woman was arrested on suspicion of assaulting her supervisor at Mary, Queen and Mother Center.

Thursday, Feb. 7

At 2:25 a.m., a St. Louis man was issued citations for possession of marijuana after police stopped him in the 7200 block of Watson Road for speeding in a 40 MPH zone. 

At 11 p.m., a South County man was issued citations for possession of marijuana after police stopped him in the 7400 block of Watson Road for not having his headlights on.

Friday, Feb. 8

At 12:45 a.m., a University City man was issued citations for possession of drug paraphernalia after police stopped him in the 7500 block of Murdoch Avenue for running a red light.
