Two Charged in Mackenzie Bank Robbery

Detectives tracked the suspects down to a home in St. Louis City and recovered some of the stolen cash.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has charged two men for of the in Affton.

Javion D. Marshall, 18, of the 3100 block of Texas Avenue in St. Louis and Shannon C. Bolden, 26, from Decatur, GA, were each charged with Robbery in the First Degree and Armed Criminal Action. Both men are currently being held on a $100,000 cash-only bond.

At approximately 9:55 a.m. Friday, St. Louis County Police responded to a call of a bank robbery at the Citizen's National Bank located at 9111 Mackenzie Road. A man entered the bank, displayed a black handgun and demanded money. The suspect fled the bank on foot with cash and got into a white four-door sedan with Georgia state license plates. It is believed a dye pack activated inside the suspect's vehicle. No one was injured in the robbery.

Detectives obtained information that identified the suspect that entered the bank as Javion Marshall and the driver as Shannon Bolden. An investigation led the detectives to Texas Avenue and county detectives and St. Louis City police officers took the men into custody, found the vehicle used in the robbery and recovered some of the stolen currency.
