Two Former Affton Police Officials Earn Promotions

Lt. Eric Walley and Sgt. Richard Mundy together have more than 30 years of experience with the St. Louis County Police Department.

Two former Affton Southwest Precinct officials have earned promotions with the St. Louis County Police Department. The police made the announcement Thursday in a news release.

Lt. Eric Walley previously held the rank of sergeant. He works in the Division of Operational Support in the Bureau of Professional Standards and is a 19-year veteran of the department.

In addition to working in Affton, he has held positions with the North County Precinct, the Bureau of Crimes Against Persons and the Drug Enforcement Unit. Walley holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and has received 11 awards, commendations and appreciation letters.

Sgt. Richard Mundy previously held the rank of officer. He works in the Tactical Operations Unit in the Division of Special Operations and is a 15-year veteran of the department.

In addition to working in Affton, he has worked in the West County Precinct. He holds an associate's degree from Meramec Community College and has received 34 awards, commendations and appreciation letters.
