Vigil For Tyler Dasher Draws Hundreds

Crowd gathers near the place 13-month-old Tyler Dasher was found.

Approximately 300 quietly gathered to remember Tyler Dasher, who's body was found dead on Tuesday. His mother, Shelby Dasher, is being in the death of her toddler.

They came and continued to add stuffed bears and other memorials around the trunk of a large tree near the spot where the body was found, near New St. Marcus Cemetery, in Affton. It was dark as the mourners arrived, and many held candles. Tears were shed.

Wayne Scott II, a friend of Shelby Dasher and organizer of the vigil, told the crowd the night was about remembering the light of Tyler, not about negative comments.

A bagpiper, on his own accord, came and played Amazing Grace. After a while, some in the crowd moved over to the area nearby, where it was believed the body was found.
