Grade: A (99)
Comments: Loose areas around three-compartment sink must be resealed. The following items were corrected while the inspector was present: empty paper towel rack in employee restroom replaced, plates stored face side up were turned over, and black and pink mold-like substances on the ice cream machine were cleaned.

Inspection date: Jan. 8
Grade: A (99)
Comments: Missing floor tiles were scheduled for repair at the end of January 2013.

Dave’s Diner, 5513 S. Lindbergh
Inspection date: Feb. 25
Grade: A (95)
Comments: An inspector responded to a complaint that an employee was coughing, handled money and ate food from her own plate, before preparing a customer’s food with bare hands. The employee did not wash her hands, according to the customer complaint. Hand sink supplies and gloves were provided, and the inspector spoke to a manager about proper hand washing. The inspector did not note any other violations.

Inspection date: Jan. 9
Grade: A (100)
Comments: Hepatitis A records and food protection certificates were provided from a Dec. 31 inspection.
