St. Louis County Targeting Teen Texting While Driving

The St. Louis County Council and AT&T are both working this week to stop teens from texting while driving with the No Text on Board Pledge, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

There is even a Facebook page dedicated to the No Text on Board Pledge.

The move is a reaction to a new study that shows peer pressure plays a role in teen texting while driving because teens expect a quick response back from friends when they send a message. The study reportedly also inidcated that texting while driving teens are 23 times more likely to cause a crash, according to the Post.
