2 Affton Seniors Attend Missouri Girls State

The girls were chosen for the honor in their junior year.

Two Affton High School seniors spent a week at the American Legion Auxiliary Missouri Girls State program, according to a press release from the school.

Jessica Reed and Paige Smith were selected on their leadership abilities, interest in government, service to others, and academics during their junior year.

They learned the ins and outs of the life of a state legislator, participated in political conventions, and listened to speakers from various levels of local, county and state government.
