Affton Announces Next Assistant Superintendent

Travis Bracht comes to Affton from the Francis Howell School District.

At the February meeting of the Affton School Board Tuesday evening, Superintendent Steve Brotherton announced that Travis Bracht of the Francis Howell School District will be Affton's next assistant superintendent. Bracht will take over next summer following the retirement of current assistant super Ken Weissflug.

"I'm very excited because I think I can add some of my talents to Affton," Bracht said. "I'm getting a very good vibe here."

Bracht said he has been in education for 14 years, including ten at Francis Howell in St. Charles. For the last five years he has served as a director at the district central office, focusing on curriculum instruction and assessment.
