Affton Schools: Take Our ECE Survey

The Affton School District is asking for community input on its early childhood education center project through an online survey.

After holding a last week to hear community suggestions on the planned (ECE) center project on Reavis Road, the Affton School District is asking for further input through an online survey.

You can take the 15-question survey by clicking here.

The form asks residents what kind of program—part time, extended day, school year or year round—works best for their family, and asks them to rank prioritiessuch as transportation, financial self-sufficiency and an environmentally friendly building.

On its website the district laid out its intentions in posting the survey:

"In order to create a building and program that best meets the needs of the pre-K children in our community, we would like your assistance in helping to shape the new Affton Early Childhood Center and program. By completing a brief on-line survey, you will be providing valuable feedback that will help the District design a learning environment that best meets the needs of our pre-school children."

The district used a similar procedure with an online survey to assess community priorities in its search for a new superintendent last fall.

The survey will remain open until June 10.
