Fifth Grader Wins Gotsch School Spelling Bee
Kaitlyn Pluff, a fifth-grader whose teacher is Eric Bowen, won the competition with the word "authoritative." Fourth-graders Kimberly Welch placed second, and Anna Bohnert placed third.
Thirty-five students at Gotsch Intermediate School in Affton competed in the school’s Spelling Bee on Fri., Jan. 11.
Kaitlyn Pluff, a fifth-grader whose teacher is Eric Bowen, won the competition with the word “authoritative.” Fourth-graders Kimberly Welch placed second, and Anna Bohnert placed third. Pluff will move on to compete in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch 2013 Spelling Bee Semi-Final Competition, to be held at McKendree University on March 2.
