Lindbergh Ballerinas Earn "Distinction" in Ballet Exams

Two Lindbergh students are the first to represent St. Louis at the annual Royal Academy of Dance ballet exams held all over the world.

Rachel Wei, 8, and Rebekah Apicello, 11, recently passed their ballet exams with distinction in grades 1 and 4 in Champaign, IL.

Kay Tabisaura, ballet teacher with Lindbergh Activities’ new Visual and Performing Arts Classes, teaches both students at . The Lindbergh Activities ballet program is based on the curriculum of the Royal Academy of Dance, an influential and respected international dance education organization with a presence in 79 countries.

The ballet examinations, which are optional, encourage and motivate students of all ages and levels through a systematic measurement of progress and attainment.  Only qualified teachers who hold the Academy Registered Teacher Status can fully prepare and enter students in the exams.

Lindbergh Activities’ summer ballet classes are under way, and the fall session begins on Sept. 10, with class offerings for various age groups and experience.  For more information, please call the Lindbergh Activities Office at 314-729-2400, ext. 4908.
