Mesnier Teachers Take Icy Plunge for Special Olympics

The pirate-themed 'Mesnier Mateys' raised over $550.

It might have felt like spring this week, but Creve Couer Lake was plenty chilly Feb. 25 as seven teachers took a 'polar plunge' to raise money for Special Olympics.

The team dressed as pirates and waded into the frigid waters, with some submerging themselves completely. The 'Mesnier Mateys' team consisted of Miss Ahearn, Mrs. Been, Mrs. Sanders, Ms. Waggoner, Mrs. Waggoner, Miss Watson and Coach Wulf.

Their efforts raised over $550 to support the Special Olympics.
