Parents, Teachers Support Dolans in Deck the House Contest

See how the Affton School District is promoting Patch's Deck the House contest, which could bring $100,000 to Affton schools.

With $100,000 on the line, Affton is doing all it can to help the Dolan family win Patch's Deck the House holiday lights contest .

"I just have never wanted anything to happen so badly as this," Densie Dolan said. "Well, OK, maybe a winning lottery ticket or two. Then I could just donate the money, right?"

If the Dolans win, Patch will donate the grand prize to the Affton School District, where all three of the Dolans' daughters have gone to school. The school district is promoting the contest to parents and staff, hoping to drive enough momentum to get as many votes per day as possible.

The school district sent out a phone blast and did a feature on the contest in the staff newsletter when the final round of voting started this week. The story is also featured on the school district's website.
