Heather Rowland won a scholarship from Pasta House for her piece using pasta.

Affton High students Heather Rowland and Hannah Dorries were honored at Tuesday's Affton School Board meeting for their scholarship-winning art.

Rowland recently received an award from Pasta House for her Marilyn Monroe portrait that used pasta as the hair. She also showed off a painting based on the HBO series "Band of Brothers."

Dorries will be attending the prestigious Memphis Art Institute this fall and was awarded $62,000 in financial aid for her work.
