Photos: Affton HS Memories Live On through Banners

Banners decorating The Village at Mackenzie Place recall the new senior center's history as the old Affton High School building.

Before 8520 Mackenzie Road became The Village at Mackenzie Place, the 76-year-old building housed Affton High School.

Today, two large banners hanging in the auditorium highlight the high school's history, displaying photos, school paper articles and other artifacts from the building's previous life.

Two students from Webster University, Lindsey Hays and Katie Coughlan, designed the banners using old yearbook pages, pictures of football games, diplomas and other Affton High School items.
