Scorseses in the Making at Lindbergh High
Lindbergh High School screens its second annual student film festival.
Lindbergh High School students showed off their talents once again, this time through the medium of the movies. Students wrote, directed, acted in, and edited multiple short films which screened in the Lindbergh High auditorium Friday night.
Sophomore John Kovacs won the $50 cash prize for best picture for his self-referential Film Festival Film Film.Β
Junior Wesley Shiflet was awarded Β a runner-up movie gift basket donated by MovieΒ Licensing USA for his surreal film A Day in the Life.Β

The festival was put on by teacher Greg Jones and junior Michael Rich, but Jones was quick to insist that the festival was largely Rich's effort.Β
"Michael is the overall mastermind," said Jones. "In class, it's been exciting to see him bringing in videos, some of them shot when he was as young as 4 or 5."

Rich promises that there will be a third annual festival next year, and hopes that someone will take over and continue the festival after he graduates.
