Three Local Parishes to Combine Elementary Schools Next Year

The new Holy Cross Academy will serve students from Annunciation in Webster Groves, Our Lady of Providence in Crestwood and St. Michael the Archangel in Shrewsbury.

St. Michael the Archangel in Shrewsbury will join two nearby Catholic elementary schools next year to form a new school—Holy Cross Academy.

The academy will include students from in Webster Groves,  in Crestwood and St. Michael, according to an article in St. Louis Review. Archbishop Robert J. Carlson recently approved the plan, which would utilize all three current school sites.

Under the plan, the St. Michael and Our Lady of Providence locations would serve students in kindergarten through fifth-grade, the article states. The Annunciation site would become the academy's middle school serving sixth- through eighth-grade students.
