Affton softball was held to a hit and a run, losing its season opener on the road.
The Cougars traveled to Sullivan on Wednesday to lose to the Eagles 14-1, the Sullivan Independent News reports.
Sullivan scored 10 runs in the first two innings off senior Cougar pitcher Laura Deen. Freshman Hannah Lanz had the only Affton hit.
