Photos: Lindbergh Preschoolers Let Freedom Ring
A Fourth of July parade was the perfect way to let these little ones celebrate Independence Day.
Students at paraded through the halls of their school Tuesday during their annual Fourth of July parade.
The patriotic procession ties in to a curriculum goal to teach children about the world around them, says Julianne Woodle, preschool coordinator. Children begin to understand that they live in St. Louis, MO, and that the city is part of the United States of America.
Through decorating T-shirts, making hats and headbands, creating instruments and making flags, students learn about our country’s traditions and history, including the celebration of Fourth of July.

“They learn that red, white and blue are the colors that represent America, they learn to recognize the American flag, and they learn about the importance of being proud to live in such a wonderful country,” Woodle said.
