This Week: Schools Start, Shrewsbury Lanes Auctioned, Shrewsbury Board Meets

The big thing this week is kids going back to school. Everyone be careful out there.

Monday—Bayless School District holds its first day of school.

Tuesday—The Shrewsbury Lanes will be auctioned. The lanes, which have been in business since 1959 is in receivership, and after Tuesday will likely have a new owner.

Tuesday— Creating Allies is Safety Training will be offered for free from 6-9:30 p.m. at Woman’s Place, 8300 Morganford Road. Pre-registration is required. Call 314-645-4848. The workshop is for the  community to learn how to best support victims, encourage safe choices and identify ‘red flags’ of potential lethal escalation. 

Tuesday—The Shrewsbury Board of Aldermen will hold a regular meeting at City Hall at 7 p.m.

Thursday—Affton School District holds its first day of school.

Friday—New England Clam Chowder is served at the Affton St. Louis Bread Company.
